Anytime I receive flowers I am in awe of the beauty and the wonderful scents they provide. But, I gotta share this, I also feel a sense of guilt.

I feel guilt because in the back of my mind, I know the flowers will be wilted and gone in less then a week.

Now, I take care of the flowers – giving them fresh water daily, and I even add the little nutrient packets to help keep the flowers going during their remaining days.

But I hate knowing there’s a countdown before they are in the trash — it’s inevitable.

So, to avoid that feeling of guilt, I put stamped flowers in my bullet journal – and I say no to buying flowers (food is much more preferable).

Although the page in the journal will turn, the flowers will always be there.

Here’s how I made this layout using this journal.

With my pencil, I traced around a cereal bowl to create the circle.

Then I used my favorite black ink pad, my acrylic block stamp holder, and my botanical stamps (the sets I used are here, here, here, and here) and started stamping the flowers inside the cirlce.

After the bouquet was complete, I used my purple brush marker to letter in the word August. I also created sections in the notebook for the days of the week with the purple pen from this set.

Then I used my days of the week stamps from The Sassy Club to mark each day.

Here are some close ups.
