Whenever I am invited to something, I like to bring the host a thank you gift.
Usually I’ll bring wine, a box of chocolates, flowers, or a personalized creation.
This year, I’ve decided to decorate and give jar candles as my thank you.
Just gotta do a Public Service Announcement/Safety Warning…keep the decorations far from the wick/flame of the candle and never leave a burning candle unattended!!!

I bought glass jar candles from Michael’s when they were on sale (3 for $9). I didn’t like the way the labels looked so my husband removed them with Goo Off and a razor blade.
So, I started this project by wrapping a gold edge burlap ribbon around the jar and hot gluing it into place.
Then, after leaving a three-inch tail, I started wrapping some twine around the jar about five times. Do not cut either tail yet.
With the twine bundle in hand, I started looping the twine in various directions and hot gluing it to the jar.
Once I finished the looping, I hot glued the cutest paper flowers from Prima Marketing Inc., onto the top of the twine.
Then, with my wire cutters, I cut a few berries from a berry branch pick (similar), hot glued them, and placed them behind the paper flowers.
Last, I hand-lettered a couple of gift tags with this pen. Then hot glued them together (overlapping one another), placed them through the twine tail and hot glued one final loop.
