It’s the most wonderful time of the year.

Christmas card making time. That’s right. I love making cards.

Now, I am slightly behind on sending them but I’ve got a whole stack to mail out.

For this card I used an embossing folder. It’s my first 3D embossing folder and it’s a winter-y themed of course.

See how I used it in my holiday card (it’s super duper easy).

Also, check out my other snowflake card that I made last week here.

Details

Most important to note, a diecut machine is needed to use this snowflake embossing folder.

After using the embossing folder, I glued a red strip of cardstock onto the white embossed cardstock.

Then, I wrapped red bakers twine (similar) around the red cardstock (about 7 times).

I secured the twine to the back of the card with washi tape.

And then I glued the snowflake/red twine layer onto a folded card.

From there I added tiny rhinestones onto the middle of the snowflakes.

I added a bit more personalization with this stamp/diecut set. This is the acrylic block and ink pad I used.

I hand-lettered “be merry” with a brush pen.

Added a couple of red brads (not shown, I glued some rhinestones onto the brads).

Last, I hot glued “be merry” layer to the twine and red cardstock.
