I hate to admit this but I have like a gazillion pen and pencil pouches.

Similar to matching the purse with the shoes, I match the pouch with the pens!! Just about every week, I’m packing different colored pens into a different pouch.

No joke, I bring my pen pouch and notebook with me everywhere, I never know when I’ll be inspired or have some free time on my hands.

Anyway, I bought this pouch knowing full well that I didn’t need it. But, when I have a 40% off coupon in addition to a 20% off coupon, believe me when I say – I will use it.

So, when this sturdy medium zipper pouch came out to $2.50 I knew I couldn’t pass it up. I already had ideas brewing.

Check out what I did, it’s really easy too.

Step 1

After removing the bits of fuzz and lint I placed the stencil onto the pouch. I didn’t do any measuring, I just eyeballed the center.

Step 2

Then I added one color of paint to my palette and started painting the triangles with my brush. I painted the triangles at random, there wasn’t any systematic approach. Because I wanted the colors to appear bright and vibrant, I added a second coat. Just an FYI, I can’t say enough positive words about these Brea Reese paints, the colors are highly pigmented and the colors are so pretty. I cannot wait to use them again!

Step 3

I repeated Step 2 with the other two acrylic paints until all of the triangles were filled in.

Step 4

I allowed the pen pouch to dry for 24 hours before touching it and adding my pens into it.
