I love making weekly layouts for my planner. It relaxes me a whole bunch!
As I was creating this layout, I realized just how much I miss playing board games. Now my husband and I play card games together like Double Solitaire, Gin Rummy, and Crazy Eights a couple times a month. But I miss playing board games, like Scrabble, Cranium, and Rummikub. I even enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles and playing Yahtzee.
Now that the game idea has been brewing, I need a list of must play games. Any suggestions? Email me at hello@thediyday.com. Once I compile my list and purchase these games, I fully intend on creating a fun bullet journal board game layout!
Here’s the layout that started the need to play board games. Check it out.
Supplies
- Bullet Journal Notebook
- Ruler
- Circle Stencil (similar)
- Tombow Twintone Markers (set 1 and set 2)
- Brush Pen
- Drawing Pen
- Calendar Stamp
- Acrylic Block
- Ink Pad
Step One
I started this layout by drawing out 7 rectangles with my ruler and purple marker, leaving the top of the rectangle open (just for now).
Step Two
Next, I centered my circle stencil at the open part of each rectangle and stenciled in the circle with a lighter purple marker. Then I completed the rectangle with my ruler and the same purple marker from step one.
Step Three
Next, with my brush pen, I abbreviated and lettered each day of the week inside the circles. I also wrote in the dates with my drawing pen.
Step Four
With the same brush pen that I used in step three, I lettered February and March.
Step Five
I love having a mini calendar in my weekly layouts and I forgot all about this awesome fill-it-in calendar stamp from The Sassy Club. So, I attached the stamp to my acrylic block, inked it up, and stamped it right under the months.
