Keeping plants alive is not my strong suit. I have this dreadlocks looking cactus and it’s on its last leg. It was a thriving plant at one time or another, but it’s succumbing to my black thumb.
What’s odd is I have a lemon tree, Fuji apple tree, Asian pear tree, and a persimmon tree in the backyard that thrive year after year and I don’t take care of them at all, the sprinklers do!
If I could successfully grow cherries and strawberries I’d be a happy camper. But I’ve killed multiple cacti, succulents, and flowers so I don’t even bother.
Which brings me to the layout for the week – it’s all about fruits! Check it out.
Supplies
- Notebook
- Ruler
- Fruit Stamps
- Acrylic Block
- Brush Pens
- Markers
- White Gel Pen
- Fine Tip Brush Pen
Step One
I started this layout by stamping a bunch of different fruit stamps to the top portion of the notebook. Instead of using traditional stamp pads I’ve inked up the stamps with my brush pens. This method works well for me because there are so many colors to choose from.
Step Two
After I completed the stamping portion, I used my pink marker and ruler and drew out the calendar. For the dates, I used the pointed tip of the orange brush pen.
Step Three
Then, I lettered the month with my green brush pen and added a few details to the letters with a white gel pen.
Step Four
For the last part I hand lettered the days of the week using a finer tipped brush pen.
