It’s Memorial Weekend and I wanted to create a Memorial Day Card to honor all of the fallen soldiers who’ve protected this country. Thank you.

Any punch shape can easily transform into a shaker card. With my star punch, I made a patriotic card, check it out.
Supplies
- Star Punch (similar)
- Sheet Protector
- Sequins
- Glitter
- White Cardstock
- Brads
- Adhesive
- Fudenosuke Brush Pen
- Gift Tag
Step One
First, I trimmed a piece of cardstock to (9.5″x3″) and with my 3 inch star punch (similar) (mine is from Hobby Lobby), punched out three stars.
Step Two
With my scissors, I cut out 3 squares (slightly larger than that of the punched out stars) from the sheet protector. I sealed all but one of the sides of the sheet protector with some adhesive. The adhesive I am using is strong and immediately bonds (no dry time) Do not use hot glue, it doesn’t work. The glue will deform or melt right through the sheet protector. Also, wet glue doesn’t dry against the plastic.
Step Three
Now it’s time to work on the sequins shaker. Add sequins, glitter, or other embellishments inside the sheet protector. Then, seal it shut with adhesive. It’s important to seal the sequins shaker entirely, if not the contents will fall out.
Step Four
Next, place adhesive all around the punched out cardstock and put the sequins shakers right on top.
Step Five
I lettered a thank you tag with a brush pen, added some brads, and after adding some adhesive, stuck it to the card.
Step Six
Last, cut and fold a piece of cardstock that is the exact same dimensions as the punched out cardstock from step one (9.5″x3″). This is for the base of the card. Add some adhesive to the sequins shaker and apply that to the base of the folded card.
