The past couple weeks have been super crazy. My days are filled with putting our home into boxes. Moving is fun, packing – not so much.
Anyway, I haven’t even started packing my office just yet. Speaking of offices, my new office is nothing short of AMAZING! More on that soon.
Bubble wrap, packing tape, and boxes are screaming my name. So, I will keep this post short and sweet.
Here is my layout for the week, check it out.
Supplies
- Notebook
- Ruler
- Brush Pens (665 & 603)
- Stamps
- Acrylic Block
- Ink Pad
- Stencil
- Purple Ink
- Dauber
- Gel Pen
Step One
I started this notebook layout by drawing out eight rectangles with my pinkish/purple brush pen (665 pointed tip) and ruler.
Step Two
Next, I grabbed my stencil, dauber, and purple ink. I dabbed the dauber in the purple ink and transferred the color over to the stencil.
Step Three
Then I placed the days of the week stamps onto an acrylic block, inked it with some black ink, and stamped it to the corresponding date. The days of the week stamps are from the Calendar Builder Set by Ink Blot Shop. Their stamps are super cute, a must see!
Step Four
To stick with the purple/pink color theme, I decided to brush letter the months with a blend of the two colors. Here’s how to create this easy blend. With the darker of the two brush pens (665) I just colored onto an acrylic dish (a baggie will work too). Then with the lighter brush pen (603), I transferred some of the pink/purple color just by coloring right on top of it. I lettered May and June while periodically transferring more 665 onto the 603 brush pen. Don’t worry about staining the pink brush pen, with a couple brush strokes, the purple comes right off. Then I added some designs with a white gel pen.
