I made an error while creating this calendar layout. It happens.
It’s noticeable. And it bothers me. It will.
I wanted to rip out the page and start over. But I couldn’t.
I’m trying to let go of this need for perfection. It’s difficult.
I am my own worst critic. This is true.
Here’s my calendar for June. Check it out.
Supplies
- Notebook
- Stencil
- Brush Pens (565, 528, 555, 535, 476)
- Blue Marker
- White Gel Pen
- Alphabet Stamps
- Number Stamps
- Stamp Holder
Step One
First I measured my notebook to fit 7 squares, one for each day of the week. Based on my measurements and the size of the stencil square I wanted, I fit four squares on one page and three on the other. I liked the ombré look so much from my May calendar (see that here), I did an ombre look again for June. This time around I’m doing five shades of blue.
Step Two
After all of the squares were drawn, I lettered the word June with my brush pen (528) and added a few little details with my white gel pen.
Step Three
Next, I added the dates to the calendar with the fine tip of my blue marker.
Step Four
Last, I stamped the days of the week above the squares with my alphabet stamps and stamp holder. Because the top of the layout looked so bare, I added a geometric square border to the top.
