I was sitting at my desk and getting side tracked like a mother. I’d come up with something creative to make and then remembered I forgot to load the dishwasher.
Soon there after I was back at my desk ready to create. Then I was hungry for lunch.
After lunch I was ready to start that project. But then my desk was too cluttered to do anything and had to clean it off.
Once it was cleaned, I had to put laundry in the dryer and then pick up my car from the auto shop.
This cycle continued all day long. Finally, I was at my desk. All my supplies were out and ready. Then Cinco started pawing my leg. He wanted to go on his walk, an hour early. So we went.
To make a long story longer, I must say, I appreciated these interruptions. I ended up not working in my office the entire day. I realized I needed that break.
The next day I was in my office all day long. One of the creations I made, a greeting card. I love creating greeting cards, especially when embossing is involved.

Supplies
-
- Kraft Cardstock (folded 5.25 x 7.25)
- White Cardstock (flat 5 x 7)
- Feather Stamps
- Feather Stamps with Dies
- Acrylic Block
- Inks (1 and 13)
- Embossing Ink
- Heat Gun
- Embossing Powder
- Adhesive
- Twine
- Dream Wooden Sticker
- Glue Gun
- Envelope Punch Board
Step One
First, after attaching the stamps to an acrylic block, I filled an entire piece of white cardstock with colorful feathers (stamp set 1, stamp set 2). I used a bluish/green ink, a coral ink, and embossing ink. After using the embossing ink, I sprinkled embossing powder and set it with a heat gun. For more details on stamping and embossing, check out my tutorial here.
Step Two
I liked the ‘dream’ wooden sticker, but I didn’t think it looked bright enough against the colorful ink; so I took the sticker, placed it onto the embossing ink pad, sprinkled embossing powder (same color as I used on the card), and set it with the heat gun. I continued the process two more times to achieve a bold metallic shine.
Step Three
Last, I placed some adhesive to the back of the feather flat card and placed it on top of the folded kraft colored cardstock. I wrapped some twine and secured it to the card with my glue gun, and placed the ‘dream’ wooden sticker right on top.
Step Four (optional)
I made a kraft colored envelope with this punch board and added a couple embossed feathers to match.
