Creating fun ways to present gifts to family and friends is one of my favorite types of DIYs.
There’s just something about a homemade gift and homemade gift wrap that I cannot get enough of.
Earlier this week when I was cleaning and organizing my office, I came across a metal tin filled with large sized confetti. I completely forgot about this confetti and I’m so glad it popped back up in my life.
See, I received a gift several months back and they used the confetti like it was packing peanuts. I thought it was the coolest presentation. Anyway, I decided to keep the confetti in hopes to upcycle it some day. That day is now. Check it out.
Supplies
Step One
Wrap the small sized gift in plain white or kraft color wrapping paper. In order for this project to work, the gift must be no larger than the size of a sheet protector.
Step Two
With scissors, cut the portion of the sheet protector that clips into a 3-ring-binder. Then, cut off the bottom base portion of the sheet protector.
Step Three
Open the sheet protector like a book and place the straight edge of the gift in the middle, along the folded the line. Wrap the gift leaving one flap open. I like using Tombow Permanent Adhesive because it’s clear and blends in well with the white gift wrap.
Step Four
Before sealing the final flap, fill the front of the gift with confetti. Any size confetti works, make confetti with a handheld punch or use scissors and cut small pieces of paper in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Finally, seal the last flap and tie a bow.
