Two pairs of flip flops, one pair of running shoes, wedges, and dressy shoes—all for a weekend getaway? I totally over pack. That’s just how it is. I don’t think I like the idea of committing to one or two pairs of shoes (I haven’t even mentioned the clothes part of it yet). Because my entire luggage is filled to the brim with clothes, shoes, hats, and a generous sized bathroom bag, I don’t have room for much else.

But I can’t go on vacation without taking some form of art supplies – what else am I supposed to do while at the beach or laying poolside?

As much as I would like to take my entire pen collection with me, it’s obviously not gonna happen. So, I’ve resorted to whatever I can fit in my pencil case (from Daiso). It holds my go-to essentials and gives me a chance to create while I’m on a plane, train, or automobile (that movie is hilarious, btw). I’m also bringing this purse sized planner filled with my favorite paper (I love this thing, I’ve had it for years)! I should be proud, I totally limited myself…actually it all has to do with a lack of space.

Anyway, this is what I’ve narrowed it down to:
