I’ve wanted a letter board forever!!! But it was always more money than I was willing to shell out.
Anyway, as luck would have it, I stumbled upon letter boards at Joann’s today. Now, I don’t know if it’s all Joann’s or just the ones in SoCal, but I bought mine (12×12 size) for $8. Yep, $8.00, and it included the letters, numbers, and some of the keyboard character signs (188 pieces in all). So check this out. The original cost of the letter board was $19.99 and it was on sale for 50% off.
Yes, I know, 50% off $19.99 isn’t $8.00. But I also received an additional 20% off my entire purchase (the discount includes sale items) if I signed up for Joann’s coupons via text message. I was easily swayed to do just that.
What a deal right?!? I also bought a couple word-sets for the letter board for 50% off and then another 20% (from the text message coupon). After the discounts I ended up spending about $2 each for those.
All in all, I spent roughly $12.
I spoke to the woman at the check out counter and she said Joann’s just started selling these yesterday (Tuesday, May 30). So, I’d like to believe they are available everywhere.
Just an FYI – the letters and display part of the board are plastic. There are three frame colors available, black, beige/sand, and grey, and the display portion of the board are black or white (with contrasting letter color).
Just for reference and not including the discounts –
12×12 – $19.99
10×20 and 20×10 – $24.99
20×16 (not sure the price, but that was the largest size offered).
