Whenever I’m at an arts and crafts store I always (always) visit the clearance aisle. Sometimes I find a bunch of fun stuff and other times just one, but I always leave with something.
On one of my ventures, I found a circle stencil. I was super excited about this stencil because it wasn’t a flimsy stencil. This thing was tough and durable.
And to top it all off, it was $2, originally priced at $8.
So, I finally broke it in and used it on my bullet journal. Check it out.
—————-
The bullet journal I am using is here.
First, I used a foam tool to apply this black ink onto the journal. I put about three-ish coats to obtain the perfect shade I wanted.
Now was the time to use my brand spankin’ new stencil. To avoid any form of movement while applying the ink, I used washi tape.
I used the same foam tool and black ink from before, and applied the ink over the stencil.
Here’s the fun part…the big reveal.
For the design, I used washi tape. I love washi tape.
Then I decided to add some contrasting color so I prepped the area (more info on prepping and embossing here) and used my embossing pen (similar) and colored in the word July (originally I wrote July in black ink but didn’t like it).
After I colored it in, I sprinkled white embossing powder on top.
Then with my heat gun (similar), I melted the powder.
Again, I prepped the area for embossing and used this sticky ink pad along with this stamp block and these lettering stamps.
Once the days were stamped, I sprinkled white embossing powder on top and heated the powder.
Just like before, I melted the powder.
Last, with my white pen I wrote in the word notes.
Other angles.
