Supplies
- Holiday Chic Gift Tags Stamp Set
- Cardinal Friends Stamp Set
- Blizzard Hugs Stamp Set
- Couture Color Inks
Step One
The Cardinal Card
When I think of Christmas, the colors that come to mind first are reds, greens, and whites. Those are the exact colors I wanted to use in my cardinal card. After applying embossing stamp ink onto the Cardinal Stamp Set I heat embossed the branch, berries, and branch with black embossing powder.
Step Two
Then, I colored onto a blending palette with my brush pens (177, 847, 856, 879). After wetting my watercolor brush, I grabbed some color off of the palette, and painted the embossed images. After they were dry, I cut them out with scissors.
Step Three
I placed some adhesive onto a piece of Scottish Tartan Scrapbook paper and placed that right on top the folded cardstock. Then I took a piece of dot embossed cardstock, added adhesive, and placed that right on top. Next, I placed adhesive onto the 3 embossed images and arranged them right on top.
Step Four
Last, I stamped a sentiment onto cardstock and placed that right on top of the card.
Step One
The Gift Tags
After applying blue ink from The Ton Couture Color onto the speckled stamp, I stamped the image onto a gift tag. Then I stamped various sized snowflakes from this Blizzard Hugs Stamp Set onto the tag using a darker shade of blue stamp ink.
Step Two
For the next gift tag, I decided to use the stripes stamp. I alternated each stripe with red and green Couture Color Ink.
Step Three
After adding ribbon to each tag, I stamped a sentiment onto cardstock, added some 3D Foam Tape for dimension, and applied it to the gift tags.
