This tri-fold happy mail is super easy to create and can be done with any size of envelopes.

Here’s a list of the supplies I’m using-

Trim off the envelope flap with scissors or a paper trimmer.  Leave about 0.25″ above the red line (it’s already part of the envelope).  Doing this will create a flat folded envelope once it is closed.  Repeat this step with three or more envelopes.

Once all the envelopes are trimmed, add some glue to the envelope and place it on top of the next envelope, above the red score line.

The envelopes should now look like this.

For decoration, add washi tape around the edges and along the parts where the envelopes meet.

Fold the tape to the other side so both sides are decorated with washi tape.
