The newest Cocoa Daisy Big Sky Collection is fabulous! I made the sweetest journal layout and it was so fun to create. Check it out.

Supplies –

One of my favorite craft supplies are rub-on transfers and the Big Sky Collection has the most adorable designs. I cut out and placed four different rub-on transfers onto a couple gift tags. These tags are the perfect size for adding a picture along with a bit of journaling.

Pockets are a must in any journal. They hold all sorts of stationery, including stickers, ephemera, and gift tags. I used a sheet of double-sided patterned paper from the Big Sky Collection, added a couple basic folds, and adhered the pocket with the cowhide print washi tape.

For this pocket I cut the patterned paper into two sheets both measuring 4.5″x8.5″. With the first patterned paper (A) facing vertically, I created a score line at 5.75″. Next, grab the other sheet of patterned paper (B) and with it facing vertically, add a score line at 4.75″. Last, place cardstock A behind cardstock B, be sure the score lines are lined up together, then fold the score lines to create the pocket. Use washi tape to secure the pocket together.

With the pocket adhered to the journal, I loaded it with all sorts of wonderful stationery from the Big Sky Collection. I added the rub-on transfer gift tags, decorative stickers, and notepad paper. Then I adorned the front with ephemera and a dangly paperclip.

On the opposite side I added a large acrylic boot bookmark. The boot is quite a statement piece and ties the entire layout together. Last, I couldn’t resist adding a picture to the journal layout along with bright blue journal card.
