A Valentine's Themed Calendar Layout www.thediyday.com @thediyday

Hello February!

This month my journal layouts will be filled with lots of pinks and reds. I apologize in advance to the non-pink and red fans out there.

Want to know what perplexes me? Why is it that a lighter shade of blue or green is called light blue or light green, but a lighter shade of red is called pink and not light red? It’s the things that make me go hmmm.

Anyway, my calendar for the month is filled with hearts, love, reds…and light reds! Check it out.

Supplies

Step One

I started this layout by placing washi tape on the upper portion of the notebook. I wanted a border full of hearts so the washi tape allows me to stamp the very edge of the tape without getting the stamp below the blocked area. After placing the washi tape, I grabbed my heart stamp and red stamp ink then stamped hearts all over the top of the notebook.

Step Two

Then I took my alphabet stamps from Ink Blot Shop, placed them on an acrylic block and stamped the month.

Step Three

Now, it’s time to draw out the calendar. I took my Tombow Dual Brush Pen (#755) and ruler and created the grid.

Step Four

Last, I grabbed my black drawing pen wrote in the dates and the days of the week.
