Let’s create a layout using the Cocoa Daisy Take Flight Collection.

Cocoa Daisy Take Flight Planner Kit
At last, spring has arrived, bringing with it warmer, longer, and brighter days. Cocoa Daisy’s newest collection, Take Flight, captures the essence of the season flawlessly. I started my journal layout using the hot air balloon and kite rub-on transfers and decorative washi tapes. Did you know that rub-on transfers work on pictures?
I utilized the decorative paper from the Take Flight Planner Kit (no inserts April 2024) on the left side of the layout and placing a journaling card directly on top. Applying glue to the left, right, and bottom edges of the card allowed me to tuck a sizable gift tag behind it, ideal for additional journaling space. To embellish further, I adorned the layout with stickers and a couple of bird stamps for extra detail.
Stickers and stamps frame the picture of my family on the right side of the page. In designing this layout, I made sure to incorporate a designated journaling space directly behind the picture. Since the picture is mounted on a card, simply lifting the tab on the right side reveals ample room for me to jot down details about the day.
Here are the two areas designated for journaling or additional pictures. Like many of my layouts, I love adding interactive elements, possibly stemming from my childhood fascination with pop-up books (who knows).
